About Winkler & District Health Care Board:
The Not-for-Profit organization actively supports the provision of local health care services within the City of Winkler and surrounding district, by providing the capital infrastructure needed to sustainably support the operation of the CW Wiebe Medical Centre clinic.

Position Summary:
Winkler & District Health Care Board is seeking a highly motivated, community-minded leader with strong connections to Winkler and the surrounding area to help implement the organization’s strategic plan.

Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director provides leadership in strategic planning, property development, fund development, community relations, and organizational growth. The Executive Director also works closely with local organizations, businesses, and all levels of government to advance the organization’s mission and strengthen community partnerships.

Job Description:

  • Articulate and execute the Health Care Board’s vision, mission, and overall strategy and direction of the organization.
  • Board Development: The executive director takes direction from the board and participates in meetings, policy development and compliance.
  • Fundraising: Support the board and be available to develop fundraising strategy and implementation as a key part of its charitable activity.
  • Manage Operations: Work with the Board, Financial Advisor and other stakeholders, including primarily CW Wiebe Medical Centre and other tenants of the Professional Centre (Condo Corp), to ensure the physical operations and assets are effectively managed.
  • Marketing, Community Relations and Communication: Build alliances, collaborations and strategic partnerships. Develop media messages and engage with the public including websites and social media.
  • Other administrative tasks as assigned by the Board in alignment with this job description

Qualifications:

  • Strong connections to, or knowledge of, the Winkler regional community.
  • Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently while building collaborative relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Experience in non-profit leadership, fundraising, or community development is considered an asset.
